The app: no data is collected

The Rase app for iPhone and iPad runs entirely on your device and makes no network connections of any kind. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party services or SDKs embedded in it.

Because nothing is transmitted, there is nothing for us to collect, store, share, sell, or lose. We do not know who you are, that you installed the app, or how you use it.

The app: what is stored on your device

The app saves the following locally, in its own private storage, so that the app works the way you expect between sessions:

• Your chosen bidding system, conventions, and display preferences
• The rubber currently in progress, and the deal in play
• Completed hands you have played, for later review and replay
• Entries you have made in the Live Scorepad

This information never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server we operate, and it is not accessible to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes it permanently.

The app: permissions

The app requests no system permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, health data, or notifications.

This website

rasebridge.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network, no tag manager, and no third-party script of any kind on any page. The pages load nothing from any other company's servers, so no other company learns that you visited.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare receives and logs the ordinary technical details of each request — your IP address, the time, the page asked for, and your browser's user-agent string — in order to serve the page and to protect the site from attack and abuse. We do not build profiles from those logs, do not combine them with anything else, and have no way to connect them to you as a person. Cloudflare's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Playing in a browser

The browser version is the same game as the app, served as an ordinary web page. Once the page has loaded, nothing further is fetched: the deal, the robots, and the double-dummy analysis are all computed on your own machine, and no card you play, and no score you record, is ever sent anywhere.

It saves the same things the app saves — your system and convention settings, the rubber in progress, completed hands, and Live Scorepad entries — using your browser's local storage, under the keys rb-settings, rb-rubber, rb-live and rb-archive. That storage belongs to your browser and stays on your device. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted, and clearing your browser's site data deletes it.

Unlike the app, the browser version does need an internet connection to load the page in the first place, and will not open again without one.

Advertising

The app contains no advertising and never will. Nothing is sold inside it, and it has no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

This website currently carries no advertising either. If that changes, an advertising network would set cookies or similar identifiers, and this policy will be updated before any advert appears — saying which network, what it collects, and how to opt out. Visitors in the UK and the EU would be asked for consent first, and would be able to decline and carry on reading. The app would be unaffected in any case.

Children

Rase is suitable for all ages, and neither the app nor this website collects data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where a change would mean actually collecting something that is not collected today — advertising cookies being the realistic example — it will be described here before it starts, not after.
